Why does a hotel buyout work for a micro wedding?

Because the wedding stops being an afternoon and becomes a weekend. A Muse buyout books all nine suites and nine bathrooms for your group. Up to 22 overnight guests stay across 10 beds plus two rollaways, and every overnight guest counts toward the 22.

The courtyard pool, the six-person hot tub, the outdoor fireplace, the pergola swings and the lobby's large table are yours for the stay. There's no bar minimum and no required event package. There's no official number. Most people use "micro wedding" for a very small guest list and "intimate wedding" for something a little larger. The number we can promise is overnight: a full Muse buyout sleeps up to 22 guests, and every one of them counts toward that 22. Share your full guest list when you send your dates.

Planning a Palm Springs micro wedding

• Pick the season. October through May brings warm days and cool evenings. Summer afternoons often top 100 degrees, so summer couples plan around sunset.

• Get the license. Palm Springs is in Riverside County, and a California marriage license is valid for 90 days from the date it's issued. Your officiant returns it within 10 days of the ceremony.

• Book the glam. Glam Squad Services can do hair and makeup on site, so the getting-ready photos happen in your suite.

• Book the photos. Add a photography experience. The pink walls and palm trees do a lot of the work.

• Bring the dog. Pets are welcome with prior approval. On full buyouts the fee is $100 per pet, per stay. Contact us for current pet terms.
