Small, on purpose. There's no tower and no lobby crowd, just nine suites facing one courtyard. You'll know you've arrived when you see the pink walls, the black-and-white striped awning and the neon Muse sign.


Each suite is named for a famous muse: Sophia, Edie, Bowie, Kate, Barbie, Brigitte, Audrey, Marilyn and Taylor. They're decorated to match, so the Barbie Suite is exactly as pink as you're hoping, and the Bowie Suite has a separate bedroom. The whole hotel feels like a friend's very stylish house with a better pool.

The pool is the main event. It sits in the middle of the courtyard, surrounded by tall palm trees and coral walls, with scalloped umbrellas, loungers and, in plenty of guest photos, a pink flamingo float. Who The Muse is for (and who it isn't)


The Muse is a good fit for couples, girls' trips, bachelorettes, birthdays and small groups who want a pool that feels like theirs. It's adults-only.


It's probably not your place if you want a big resort scene with hundreds of rooms. And while downtown is only minutes away by car, plan on driving or a rideshare for dinner on Palm Canyon Drive. The airport is minutes away too, which is handy if you're flying in.
