Meet Jacarius Murphy, the spirit behind Haus of Yavarr, a spiritual wellness brand that blends intention, beauty, and bold self-expression. With a background in fashion and a gift for soulful storytelling, Jacarius helps people reconnect with their highest selves through candlelight, affirmations, and energy work.
We caught up with him to talk personal growth, creative rituals, cosmic humor, and the themed hotel room that would give Mariah Carey butterflies.

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself, your career, and what inspires you?
My name is Jacarius Murphy, and I’ve always seen style and spirit as deeply connected. Before founding my spiritual wellness brand, Haus of Yavarr, I spent years immersed in the fashion and retail worldmanaging for companies like Nordstrom and Express, and collaborating with a private-label designer. Those experiences taught me how storytelling, presentation, and emotion can transform something ordinary into something unforgettable.
Today, I channel that same creative foundation into crafting ritual candles, affirmations, and sensory experiences that help people reconnect with their higher selves. My work explores how light, scent, and sound can become acts of healing and transformation.
I’m endlessly inspired by human resilience, divine energy, and the beauty of reinvention. How one spark of intention can change everything. For me, being a Muse means embodying that evolution. Allowing art, spirit, and self-expression to inspire others to see their own magic.
2. What are your top three passions outside of work?
Outside of my work, my biggest passions are travel, music, and personal growth. All the things that keep my spirit grounded and inspired.
I love exploring new places and cultures. There’s something about discovering the hidden corners of a city, a local café, or a desert sunrise that reminds me how much beauty exists beyond routine. Every trip feels like a little reset for the soul.
Music is my heartbeat. Whether it’s old-school R&B, soulful house, or healing frequencies, sound has always been my way of reconnecting with emotion and energy. There’s a certain magic in how one song can shift your entire mood or transport you back to a moment in time.
And above all, I’m passionate about growth. Mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. I’m always diving into new practices that expand my awareness, from meditation and journaling to meaningful conversations that stretch the soul. I believe life is one long, beautiful evolution, and I’m here for all of it.
3. What’s one quirky or unexpected thing about you that most people don’t know?
Most people are surprised to learn that I’m a total old-soul romantic with a cosmic sense of humor. I can go from talking about energy healing and star systems to quoting classic 90s sitcoms in the same breath.
I also have this habit of naming things that have energy—my candles, my houseplants, even my car. It’s my little way of acknowledging that everything around us carries a vibe and a story.
And on a lighter note, I’m obsessed with karaoke. It’s one of my favorite ways to let loose and connect with people. Whether it’s belting out Whitney or channeling a little drag-queen glamour, performing has always been one of my happy places.

4. If you could design a themed room for our hotel, what theme would you choose and why?
If I could design a themed room for The Muse Hotel, it would be called "The Butterfly Suite," inspired by my ultimate muse—Mariah Carey.
Mariah has always embodied transformation, resilience, and divine femininity. Qualities that resonate deeply with me. Her journey from vision to vocal powerhouse mirrors how I approach creativity and spirituality: through freedom, emotion, and evolution.
The room would be a blend of Old Hollywood glam and celestial serenity. A champagne-and-cream palette with touches of iridescent gold, floating fabrics, and soft lighting that feels like golden hour forever. Guests would be greeted with the scent of Haus of Yavarr’s Amber Salt & Tonka Oud. Sensual, confident, and timeless. Gentle butterfly motifs would symbolize renewal and rebirth.
And, of course, Mariah’s music would flow through the space. From Butterfly to Emotions. Reminding guests that luxury isn’t just what you see, it’s what you feel. The Butterfly Suite would be a sanctuary of transformation. Where glamour meets grace. And where every guest leaves feeling a little more free, a little more radiant, and a lot more like the muse they already are.
